Since its origins in 1945, the business has grown from Salumificio Triestino Dukcevich
into Principe di San Daniele S.p.a., and now with King's and the two factories in Parma it
is part of the Kipre Group, one of the most efficient and modern food industries in Italy
with factories in Trieste, San Daniele, Vicenza and in the province of Parma.

PRINCIPE STARTS ITS ADVENTURE! A laboratory for beechwood smoked hams and frankfurters production is established in Trieste.

PRINCIPE GROWS The laboratory is converted into a medium size company, with product distribution in the domestic market.

SAN DANIELE OPENS A new plant in San Daniele del Friuli is built, and the production of Prosciutto di San Daniele starts.

A NEW PARTNERSHIP Principe buys King’s from Nestlè, the renowned brand of dry cured specialties. Principe and King’s become sister companies in the Kipre Group.

PRINCIPE USA Principe Foods Usa is founded.

PRINCIPE BECOMES NUMBER ONE The Group becomes a leader in the production of prosciutto and high quality deli meat specialties. It is now the #1 producer of Prosciutto di San Daniele. Export to the EU and the rest of the world becomes relevant.

PRINCIPE IN JAPAN Gustavo, a typical Italian osteria, opens in Tokyo thanks to the cooperation between Principe and Zonin.

PARMA OPENS After a significant investment, the Group acquires an aging plant for the production of Prosciutto di Parma and a slicing facility in the province of Parma.

PRINCIPE IN JAPAN A second Gustavo restaurant opens in Tokyo.

PRINCIPE IN THE USA Principe America is founded acquiring the brand Vincenza’s with a selection of domestic products

PRINCIPE WORLDWIDE Positioned with over 40 countries in exporting the product from the Italian facilities, now present in the USA as well as Australia with direct operations, Principe continues to look upon additional opportunities in expanding worldwide.
